Members of the Society have a keen interest in educating children, in a fun way, about how their ancestors lived. We have created an interactive program that complements the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL).
If you are interested in having our group visit your classroom or day camp, please contact our Education Committee Chairperson, Sharon Brunacci.
Interact with people who lived in Fredericksburg and the surrounding area before the Revolutionary War. Learn about their daily lives (work and play) and how it related to the politics of the time.
Developed for younger audiences, children are given the opportunity to learn about and handle items associated with daily life in Colonial Virginia.
Led by our Dance Mistress, students are introduced to colonial dancing and deportment very much as it would have been taught in the period.
